Lock carrier, assembly overview

Notes: Do not remove noise insulation, just loosen front quick-release bolts.
Bumper removed






1. Lock carrier

Service position
Remove engine covers -2- and -3-
Unbolt air duct between lock carrier and air filter at lock carrier and remove air duct.
Screw in special tool 3369 into threaded hole on left side. See Fig. 1
Screw in special tool 3369 on right side
Unscrew and remove securing bolts -5- on left and right
Unscrew and remove securing bolts -4- and pull lock carrier -1- forwards
Securing lock carrier. See Fig. 2


2. Left engine cover
3. Right engine cover
4. Combi-bolt 10 Nm
5. Combi-bolt 50 Nm
Screw in special tool 3369 for service position

Note: After installing lock carrier, check head light setting and re-adjust if necessary

- Screw in special tool 3369 on left and right as shown.
- Pull lock carrier forward until rear hole in lock carrier aligns with front threaded hole of fender bar.

- Secure lock carrier in position on left and right using bolts as shown.
