Removing and Installing From Bracket

Removing





- Remove sound dampening pan.

CAUTION: Mark travel direction of the ribbed belt before removing. Reversing direction could cause the belt to fail.

- Loosen ribbed drive belt and remove.
- Remove A/C line bracket bolt -A-.
- Disconnect A/C clutch and compressor speed sensor -G111- harness connectors.
- Remove compressor mounting bolts -B- and remove compressor from bracket.

CAUTION: Support compressor with wire or hooks after removing from bracket. DO NOT allow compressor to hang from A/C lines/hoses.

Installing





Install in reverse order of removal noting the following:
- Before tightening mounting bolts -B-, ensure compressor properly engages slots in bracket.
- Tighten mounting bolts -B- to 25 Nm (18 ft lb)
- Tighten A/C line bracket bolt -A- to 40 Nm (30 ft lb)
