Transmission Mount: Service and Repair

REMOVAL





- Attach lifting hook of engine support bridge to left engine lifting eye only (arrow).
- Take up weight of engine via spindle.
- Remove three way catalytic converters.





- Loosen mounting nut for left-side bonded rubber bushing (arrow -1 -).
- Unscrew left-side transmission support at bonded rubber bushing (arrow-2-).
- Separate harness connector for multi-function Transmission Range (TR) switch.





- Unscrew bracket -1- for multi-function TR switch harness connector.
- Remove mounting screws for transmission support (arrows) and take off transmission support.

NOTE: This is shown with the transmission removed to simplify the illustration.


INSTALLATION
- Install in the reverse order of removal.

NOTE: Installing three way catalytic converters, refer to Powertrain Management.

- Tightening torques
Transmission support to transmission: 40 Nm (30 ft lb)
Harness connector bracket to transmission support: 10 Nm (7 ft lb)
Transmission support to bonded rubber bushing: 40 Nm (30 ft lb)
Bonded rubber bushing to subframe: 40 Nm (30 ft lb)
Cover to fuel rail: 10 Nm (7 ft lb)
