Sensor

- Disconnect harness connector from speedometer Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS).





- Press sensor retaining bar down.
- Turn VSS to the side and remove.

NOTE:
^ Shown with transmission removed to simplify illustration.
^ Install new O-ring on VSS.
^ Install VSS with multi-purpose grease.

- Install in the reverse order of removal.

CAUTION: Insert VSS carefully, as the vehicle speed indication will be inaccurate if the sensor is damaged.
