Passenger Side

- Disconnect single-pin airbag power supply connector.
- Remove glove compartment
- Loosen hex nuts -6- and remove air- bag mounting plate -5-.
^ Tightening torque: 6 Nm (53 in lb)
- Loosen hex bolt -4-.
^ Tightening torque: 15 Nm (11 ft lb)
- Disconnect electrical connector -8
- and remove airbag -3-.

WARNING:
^ Connection -7- (2 pin, red), on the airbag unit must NEVER be disconnected.
^ If connection -7- is loose, replace the airbag unit
^ Always replace the airbag with front side up.

- Loosen hex bolts -2- and remove mounting bracket -1-.
^ Tightening torque: 15 Nm(11 ft lb)
- Install in reverse order of removal.

NOTE:
^ Airbag mounting plate -5- MUST be installed to ensure normal function of the passenger airbag.
^ When installing the airbag always replace hex bolt -4- with a new one. Verify that bolt/nut threads are clean.
