Oil Pump: Service and Repair

Oil pump, removing











Loosen and remove belts for alternator, A/C compressor, central hydraulic pump
Remove central hydraulic pump (leave hoses connected), and place to the side.






Loosen and remove vibration damper mounting bolt.
Remove drive belt cover.






Loosen and remove drive belt by loosening coolant pump and turning to the right (white arrows)

Caution: Do not turn crankshaft

Remove vibration damper and crankshaft drive belt sprocket
Remove oil dipstick.
Drain engine oil.






Remove both front bolts on subframe
Remove oil pan.






Remove oil pickup tube.






Remove oil pump.


Installation

Installation is reverse of removal
