Display level, checkingDISPLAY LEVEL:
Display level button, lower left instrument cluster
Work sequence
DISPLAY LEVEL:
- connect US 1119 between contact 2 and ground
- switch ignition ON
- measure voltage
^ 0.0 V
- press display level button
- measure voltage
^ 0.0 V Increasing to 12.0 V
If specified values are not obtained, - repair break in wiring according to wiring diagram OR
- replace defective display level button
Illumination control switch, checking
ILLUMINATION CONTROL:
- connect US 1119 between contact 25 and ground
- switch ignition ON
- operate illumination control
- measure voltage
^ 9.0 V to 12.0 V
If specified value is not obtained, - repair break in wiring according to wiring diagram OR
- replace defective illumination control switch
Engine oil pressure switch, checking
ENGINE OIL PRESSURE SWITCH:
- connect US 1119 between contact 17 and ground
- start engine
- measure voltage
^ approx. battery voltage
If specified value is not obtained, - repair break in wiring according to wiring diagram OR
- replace defective engine oil pressure switch
SPEED DISPLAY SENDER:
Speed display sender, checking
Speed display sender, on transmission
PULSING VOLTAGE:
Work sequence
PULSING VOLTAGE:
- connect US 1119 between contact 5 and ground switch ignition ON roll vehicle forwards or backwards and measure voltage
^ pulsing voltage 0.0 V to 5.0 to 0.0 V
If specified value is not obtained, - repair break in wiring according to wiring diagram OR
- replace defective speed display sender
If specified value is still not obtained, replace instrument cluster
