Air Bag Deactivation Indicator: Service and Repair

Passenger's Airbag Cutoff Indicator Replacement

1. With navigation system: Remove the audio-navigation and HVAC switch panel Audio-Navigation and HVAC Switch Panel Removal/Installation.

2. Without navigation system: Remove the audio and HVAC switch panel Audio and HVAC Switch Panel Removal/Installation.

3. Disconnect the hazard warning switch/passenger's airbag cutoff indicator 6P connector (A) on the dashboard wire harness.





4. Push out the hazard warning switch/passenger's airbag cutoff indicator (B) from behind the switch panel (C).

5. Reinstall the parts in the reverse order of removal.

6. After installing the hazard warning switch/passenger's airbag cutoff indicator, confirm proper system operation:

- Clear any DTCs with the HDS Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode, and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.
