Audio System Symptom Troubleshooting - Error code: XM ANTENNA or XM LOADING is displayed (without AcuraLink)

Error code: XM ANTENNA or XM LOADING is displayed (without AcuraLink)

NOTE:

- Check the vehicle battery condition first Battery Test.
- Check the connectors for poor connection or loose terminals.
- Check for other error codes Audio System Error Codes, and check the XM Antenna Signal Reception Level Audio System Self-Diagnostic Function.

1. Check the connector at the XM receiver.

Is the connector connected?

YES -

Go to step 2.

NO -

Reconnect the connector(s). If the error message does not go away, go to step 2.

2. Check the AM/FM/XM antenna 2P connector.

Is the connector connected?

YES -

Go to step 3.

NO -

Reconnect the connector(s). If the error message does not go away, go to step 4.

3. Check for other XM error codes Audio System Error Codes.

Are there other XM error codes displayed?

YES -

Go to error codes Audio System Error Codes.

NO -

Go to step 4.

4. Substitute a known-good AM/FM/XM antenna Diagrams.

Is the error message gone?

YES -

Replace the original AM/FM/XM antenna Diagrams.�

NO -

Go to step 5.

5. Substitute a known-good XM receiver XM Receiver Removal/Installation (Without AcuraLink).

Is the error message gone?

YES -

Substitute a known-good XM antenna lead, and recheck. If the XM receiver receives a signal, replace the original XM antenna lead. If the symptom/indication is still present, replace the original XM receiver XM Receiver Removal/Installation (Without AcuraLink).�

NO -

Replace the XM antenna lead.�
