Mode Control Motor Replacement

Removal

NOTE: If you reuse the original motor, move the motor to the VENT position before removing the motor.

1. Remove the blower unit. Blower Unit Removal/Installation

2. Disconnect the 7P connector (A) from the mode control motor (B). Remove the self-tapping screws and the mode control motor from the heater unit.






Installation

1. Release the lock (A), then remove the motor lever (B) from the mode control motor (C).
NOTE: If replacing the mode control motor connect the 7P connector then set the climate control to VENT verify the out put shaft (D).






2. Align the position of the damper lever pins (A), then install the motor lever (B).






3. Make sure the damper lever pins in the motor lever are visible through the holes.






4. Install the mode control motor (A) while holding the motor lever (B).

5. After installation, make sure the motor runs smoothly.
