Poor acceleration in D, S, and R; stall speed low; engine does not rev to high rpm; transmission does not upshift under hard acceleration

Diagnostic Procedure:

1. Shift solenoid valve D defective

2. Torque converter one-way clutch defective

3. Engine output low

4. Torque converter clutch piston defective

Also check for:

- Check the stall speed. A/T Stall Speed Test
- Check the engine control system.
- Check the fuel pressure. Testing and Inspection
- Check for exhaust restriction.
- Check for intake restriction.
- Check the VTEC rocker arm.
- Replace the torque converter.
