Seat Heater Test (Without Seat Ventilator)

Seat Heater Test

Driver's Seat

1. Remove the driver's seat, Front Seat Removal/Installation then remove the seat-back cover. Front Seat-Back Cover Replacement

2. Disconnect the 4P connector (A) from the seat cushion heater and 2P connector (B) from the seat-back heater.











Seat Cushion Heater Test

3. Check for continuity between seat cushion heater 4P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2, and terminals No. 2 and No. 3. There should be continuity. If there is no continuity, replace the seat cushion heater.

Seat-back Heater Test

4. Check for continuity between seat-back heater 2P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2. There should be continuity. If there is no continuity, replace the seat-back heater.

5. Reconnect the 4P and 2P connectors to the seat heaters, and check for continuity between seat cushion heater 4P connector terminal No. 3 and the seat-back heater 2P connector terminal No. 2. There should be continuity. If there is no continuity, repair an open in the wire between the seat cushion heater and the seat-back heater.

Front Passenger's Seat

1. Remove the front passenger's seat. Front Seat Removal/Installation

2. Disconnect the 3P connector (A) from the seat cushion heater.

3. Check for continuity between seat cushion heater 3P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 3, and terminals No. 2 and No. 3. There should be continuity. If there is no continuity, replace the seat cushion heater.






Rear Seat (Canada models only)

1. Remove the rear seat cushion and the rear seat-back. Rear Seat Removal/Installation

2. Disconnect the 3P [4P] connector (A) from the left [right] seat cushion heater, and 2P connector (B) from the seat-back heaters.















Left Rear Seat Cushion Heater Test

3. Check for continuity between seat cushion heater 3P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2, and terminals No. 2 and No. 3. There should be continuity. If there is no continuity, replace the seat cushion heater.

Left Rear Seat-back Heater Test

4. Check for continuity between seat-back heater 2P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2. There should be continuity. If there is no continuity, replace the seat-back heater.

5. Reconnect the 3P and 2P connectors to the seat heaters, and check for continuity between seat cushion heater 3P connector terminal No. 1 and seat-back heater 2P connector terminal No. 2. There should be continuity. If there is no continuity, repair an open in the wire between the seat cushion heater and the seat-back heater.

Right Rear Seat Cushion Heater Test

6. Check for continuity between seat cushion heater 4P connector terminals No. 2 and No. 3, and terminals No. 3 and No. 4. There should be continuity. If there is no continuity, replace the seat cushion heater.

Right Rear Seat-back Heater Test

7. Check for continuity between seat-back heater 2P connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2. There should be continuity. If there is no continuity, replace the seat-back heater.

8. Reconnect the 3P and 2P connectors to the seat heaters, and check for continuity between seat cushion heater 3P connector terminal No. 2 and seat-back heater 2P connector terminal No. 2. There should be continuity. If there is no continuity, repair an open in the wire between the seat cushion heater and the seat-back heater.
