Cowl Moulding / Trim: Service and Repair




Cowl Cover Replacement

NOTE:

- Take care not to scratch the cowl cover and the body.

- Use a clip remover to remove the hood rear seal clips.

1. Detach the clips (A, B), then remove the cowl cover upper trim (C).

2. Disconnect the windshield washer tubes (D).

3. Remove the windshield wiper arms. Service and Repair






4. Remove the rear hood seal (A), then detach the clips (B, C, D) by carefully pulling the passenger's cowl cover (E) upward, and release the hook (F) on the passenger's cowl cover from the driver's cowl cover (G), then remove the cover by releasing the hooks (H).






5. Remove the rear hood seal (A), then detach the clips (B, C, D) by carefully pulling the driver's cowl cover (E) upward, then remove the cover by releasing the hooks (F).

6. Install the covers in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.

- Make sure the washer tubes are connected securely.

- Push the clips into place securely.
