Poor Acceleration When Starting Off In D, S, And R; Stall Speed Low In D And S In 1ST And 2ND; the Engine Does Not Rev To High
Poor acceleration when starting off in D, S, and R; stall speed low in D and S in 1st and 2nd; the engine does not rev to high rpm, and the transmission only upshifts at low rpm (engine at normal operating temperature)
Diagnostic Procedure:
1. Engine output low
2. Shift solenoid valve E defective
3. Torque converter one-way clutch defective
4. Torque converter clutch piston defective
5. Lock-up shift valve defective
Also check for:

- Check the fuel pressure. Testing and Inspection
- Check for exhaust restriction.
- Check for intake restriction.
- Check the VTEC rocker arms.
- Replace the torque converter.
- Check the lock-up shift valve in the regulator valve body for free movement, and check the lock-up shift valve spring for wear and damage.
