Gear or bearing noises

Diagnostic Procedure:

1. Inspect and/or replace the rear differential fluid. Rear Differential Fluid Inspection and Replacement

2. Inspect the side case clearance. Rear Differential Side Case Replacement

3. Replace the rear differential carrier assembly.

Also check for:

- Worn or cupped tires
- Tire inflation
- Fluid condition
- Incorrect side case clearance
- Damaged or chipped gears
- Incorrect tire size (rolling circumference)
