Carpet Replacement
Special Tools Required
- KTC trim tool set SOJATP2014*
*Available through the Acura Tool and Equipment Program.

NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when prying components.
- Take care not to damage, wrinkle or twist the carpet.
- Be careful not to damage the dashboard or other interior trim pieces.
1. Remove these items:
- Front seats, both sides Front Seat Removal/Installation
- Rear seat cushion Rear Seat Removal/Installation
- Front door sill trim, both sides Interior Trim Removal/Installation - Front Door Sill Area
- Rear door sill trim, both sides Interior Trim Removal/Installation - Rear Door Sill Area
- B-pillar lower trim, both sides Interior Trim Removal/Installation - B-Pillar Lower Trim
- Kick panel, both sides Interior Trim Removal/Installation - Front Door Sill Area
- Center console Center Console Removal/Installation
- Select lever bracket A/T Shift Lever Removal
2. Detach the clips, then remove the footrest (A).
3. Push the knob (A) back to release the hooks (B), then pull up the accelerator pedal (C).
4. Remove the bolts, then remove the rear vent duct C (A).
5. Detach the clips on both sides of the carpet (A). Pull the fastener (B) out, and pull out the carpet from under the plate (C), then remove the carpet.
6. Install the carpet in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Take care not to damage, wrinkle or twist the carpet.
- Make sure the seat harnesses and the antenna lead are routed correctly.
- If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
