Canister Purge Control Valve: Description and Operation

Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Purge Control Solenoid Valve
When the engine coolant temperature is below 99°F (37°C): '96 - 99 model, 140°F (60°C): '00 model, the PCM controls the EVAP purge control solenoid valve which cuts vacuum to the EVAP purge control canister diaphragm.
