Catalytic Converter: Description and Operation

PURPOSE/OPERATION
The Three Way Catalytic Converter is used to convert hydrocarbons (HC), carbon monoxide (CO), and oxides of nitrogen (NOx) in the exhaust gas to carbon dioxide (CO2), dinitrogen (N2) and water vapor.
