EGR Control Solenoid Valve:

The EGR control solenoid valve, located in the Control Box, mounted on left side of firewall, is an electrically operated valve. It is controlled by the ECU and permits EGR operation. When energized, electromagnetism opens the valve, connecting the passage between the two ports.
