Blower Motor: Service and Repair

1. Disable coded theft protection system as described in Accessories and Optional Equipment / Antitheft and Alarm Systems / Service and Repair.
2. On models equipped with airbag, disarm airbag system as described in Air Bags and Seat Belts / Air Bags (Supplemental Restraint Systems) / Airbag System Disarming.






3. Remove RH instrument panel lower cover attaching screws.






4. Remove glove box attaching screws, then disconnect lamp electrical connector, then remove glove box.






5. Remove the front console.
6. Remove right kick panel.
7. Remove automatic seat belt control unit.






8. Remove right knee bolster.






9. On models less A/C, remove heater duct (2 self tapping screws).
10. On models with A/C, remove A/C band.






11. On all models, remove blower attaching bolts (3).
12. Disconnect recirculation control cable.
13. Disconnect blower motor and resistor electrical connectors, then remove blower bolts .
14. Reverse procedure to install.
15. Restore coded theft protection system and rearm airbag.
